Product application:

  1. A neutral point grounding resistor cabinet is a current limiting electrical protection device connected between the neutral point of a generator or transformer and the ground. When a fault occurs in the power grid, the neutral point voltage of the power supply will shift, especially in cable powered power grid systems where the capacitance current to ground is large. When the current exceeds the specified value, it will generate arc grounding overvoltage, which greatly increases the ground voltage of the non fault phase and causes insulation damage to the equipment, resulting in two-point or multi-point grounding short circuit and power outage accidents. The purpose of using neutral point resistance grounding method is to inject resistive current into the fault point, making the grounding fault current have resistance capacitance properties, reducing the phase difference with voltage, lowering the reignition rate of the fault point current after zero crossing and arc extinguishing, limiting the overvoltage within a certain level, improving the sensitivity of relay protection equipment to achieve tripping, rapid search for fault lines and backup switching, and effectively protecting the normal operation of the system.
  2. High voltage grounding resistor cabinets are widely used in transformer secondary and generator stator side neutral points. After connecting a resistor in series with the neutral point of the equipment (or using a grounding transformer to lead out the neutral point), intermittent arc overvoltage electromagnetic energy is discharged, causing the neutral point potential to decrease and the speed of fault phase recovery voltage rise to slow down, thereby reducing the possibility of arc reignition, suppressing the amplitude of grid overvoltage, and enabling selective grounding protection.
  3. It is mainly used for power transmission and distribution systems below 110kV, which are mainly composed of cable lines and single-phase grounding faults with large capacitance currents, as well as power plant auxiliary power systems with small capacitance currents but to prevent resonance overvoltage. According to different capacitor currents, it can be divided into high resistance grounding and low resistance grounding.
