Bridge Arm Reactor
Bridge arm reactor, also known as phase reactor or valve reactor, is connected in series in each bridge arm. The phase reactor and the leakage reactance of the connecting transformer together form a power transmission band between the converter and the AC system, which, in conjunction with the voltage on the valve side of the connecting transformer, determines the power transmission capacity of the converter, realizes the regulation and control of active and reactive power, and suppresses short-circuit current.
The bridge arm reactor and the leakage reactance of the connecting transformer jointly form a power transmission band between the converter and the AC system, which, in conjunction with the voltage on the valve side of the connecting transformer, determines the power transmission capacity of the converter, realizes the regulation and control of active and reactive power, and suppresses short-circuit currents. At the same time, it can play a certain filtering role and reduce the harmonic content of the output voltage of the converter.
In the switch type VSC voltage source type DC transmission converter, the phase reactor is placed between the filter and the converter, and one phase reactor is installed for each phase; In controllable power type VSC, the phase reactor, also known as valve reactor or bridge arm reactor, is connected in series with one bridge arm reactor in each bridge arm. In this case, the bridge arm reactor can suppress phase to phase circulating current.
The station equipment includes voltage source type converters and their cooling devices, connecting transformers, smoothing reactors, voltage source type DC transmission converter station switchgear, DC control and protection devices, and necessary auxiliary equipment and facilities. According to the different topologies of voltage source type DC transmission converters, the main circuit of voltage source type DC transmission converter stations varies slightly.
